The CROSSTEK® CUV is designed for crossover vehicles and compact SUVs. The combination of the asymmetrical tread pattern, newly developed compound, and quiet serration technology help create a CUV tire that offers safety performance and ride comfort.

• Nitto created a new compound that decreases rolling resistance by adding a new polymer to reduce carbon particle movement. This translates into less energy loss in the molecular level and lower rolling resistance.
• Silica works in combination with the other polymers to reduce tread flex. Silica also allows the tire to operate at lower temperatures. This means the tire performs well in adverse weather conditions.
• Nitto's engineers created several pattern designs and evaluated the noise produced by each. By adjusting the shape and position of individual blocks, Nitto minimized the pattern noise that is often experienced while driving at highway speeds.
